I had the joy of working with Raquel at Vitalyst Health Foundation, where she directed capacity building and learning efforts. Her curiosity, reach and influence went well beyond her title. She built strong, meaningful, and authentic relationships with institutional partners and folks of the community alike. She was dedicated to racial equity and justice--values that touched the entirety of her work and relationships. As a peer, she was supportive, curious, and engaged. She set her expectations high for herself and supported others to do the same. Her facilitation skills are excellent, multi-pronged, and complex. She approaches facilitation with enthusiasm, empathy, humor, curiosity, and warmth. I learned a great deal from Raquel. I am grateful for the time I worked with her.
